Metso Outotec Larox® PF (pressure filters) are fully automatic filters using recessed plates with diaphragms and have a horizontally oriented plate pack.
The individual filter plates have single-sided filtration areas of 1.6, 2.5 and 6 m2 depending on the model and an operating pressure of up to 16 bar. The plates are stacked horizontally on the top of each other.
A single filter cloth zigzags between the filter plates and both sides of the filter cloth are utilized for filtration.
