Planetgear 7000 Speed Reducers incorporate all of the standard Planetgear features you have come to expect for your heavy-duty applications. The self-aligning gear train has six or more teeth in contact per reduction to equally share the load. Large tapered roller bearings on heavy-duty shafts provide high overhung load and thrust capacity.
With Planetgear™ 7000 reducers, self-aligning planet carriers float radially and axially to provide perfect alignment of the gear train. Unlike “traditional gears” which have only one point of contact per reduction, Planetgear 7000 transmits the torque through three points of contact between sun gears and planet gears. The floating gear train ensures equal loading among the three points.
